very friendly people, good food, magnifficent nature, great rafting, very quit camp, owsome campfire place. They are working at a new sanitairy block. We made friends for live with the owners and we recommand it to al nature lovers.

nice people but terrible animal keeping

We were welcomed very friendly at this place situated very beautifully close to the Tara river. The bungalows are spotless and the family will do everything to make your stay as nice as possible!
There´s only one downside that made the stay for as very oppressive: The family keeps two big dogs on tiny chains. This is not uncommon in Montenegro but for one of them the pole with the chain is located so steep up a hill that it´s impossible for the dog to even stand up straight or lie down on a straight piece of land. He keeps sliding down the steep hill whenever he moves even a tiny bit. Also his collar was much too tight. These dogs live their whole lives on the tiny chains outside and never (!) get walked. At night it stormed and the dogs were howling continuously. We felt so sorry for them that we tried to talk to the family about it but they just ignored it although they were very nice for the rest. The suffering of the dogs was completely unnecessary as the family owns a lot of straight land and could easily move the dogs or even give them more space. We hope that they will change the situation for the dogs at Eko Oaza if maybe more tourists talk to them about it ...

Wir wurden von der Familie sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Die sehr sauberen Bungalows sind wunderschön direkt an der Tara gelegen. Die Familie ist nett und gibt sich Mühe. Allerdings fanden wir unseren Aufenthalt dort dennoch sehr bedrückend, was daran lag, dass die Familie zwei riesige Hunde an Ketten mit jeweils ca. 1 m Länge hält. Das allein ist für Montenegro nicht ungewöhnlich. Bei einem der Hunde steht der Pfahl allerdings an einer Stelle, wo es steil bergab geht. Der Hund hat keine Möglichkeit, sich auch nur gerade hinzustellen oder ausgestreckt auf einer geraden Fläche zu liegen! Sobald er sich bewegt, rutscht er den steilen Hang herunter. Außerdem ist sein Halsband derart eng, dass wir befürchten, dass es ihm weh tut. Beide Hunde verbringen ihr komplettes Leben draußen an der kurzen Kette. Während unseres Aufenthalts hat es nachts gestürmt. Die Hunde haben fast die gesamte Nacht über geheult. Sie haben uns so leid getan, dass wir danach vorsichtig mit der Familie darüber gesprochen haben, den Hund am steilen Hang doch wenigstens auf eine gerade Fläche zu stellen. Sein Leiden ist völlig unnötig, weil genug gerade Fläche vorhanden ist. Wir sind damit allerdings ignoriert worden. Wir hoffen sehr, dass mehr Touristen die Zustände der Hunde in der Eko Oaza ansprechen und sich die Situation der Hunde dadurch vielleicht verbessern wird …

Ottima sistemazione in bungalow pulito ed accogliente. Famiglia gentile e ospitale che prepara una squisita cena con pesce locale. Possibilità di Rafting. Buona la Slivovitza prodotta dal proprietario!
