Island Lopud, only a 30 minute drive from Dubrovnik, offers a perfect escape from the stresses of a modern life. It has only 80 inhabitants year around, no traffic allowed, sandy beaches, lush subtropical vegetation, dreamy medieval royal palaces, seamens' residencies, Renaissance and Gothic churches, and botanic gardens.

Villa Franka is located in a very heart of Lopud, nestled in a narrow, winding, cobbled street 50 m. from a sandy beach. Once upon a time, 300 years ago, an old sea captain built the house for his family, creating a perfect retreat for his retirement.

The owners have changed through the centuries. The present owner, Franka, has been in love with Lopud since she was a young girl. Three years ago she found her dream house on Lopud, named it Villa Franka, and preserved this beautiful piece of history on her beloved island, by restoring the house to modern standards.

The house is under UNESCO protection, so the polished old facade of its outside remains untouched.

Please come and enjoy the perfect transformation of this long forgotten villa.

The Villa offers three floors of luxury living. Every floor is a separate apartment with all amenities.

First floor: Two bedrooms king sized beds, two bathrooms, charming entry, kitchen with dinning and living area. Dining area has a big sleeper sofa for two. Exit to nostalgic old terrace and garden.

Second floor: Two bedrooms, one king sized bed, one queen bed, two bathrooms, kitchen with dinning/living area, one sleeper sofa for two in living area, and a charming lodge, terrace facing to the green hills of Lopud. This is a perfect place to relax after enjoying your day on the beach.

Third floor: Two bedrooms, one king sized bed, one queen size bed, one large bathroom, kitchen, beautiful dinning/living area with sleeper sofa for two. This is the most romantic part of the villa.

The whole house is air conditioned, has a satellite TV, Internet, three full kitchens, 5 bathrooms (one additional outside) provided with large towels, as well as beach towels.

Outside of the house, in the garden, there is a laundry room, washing machine, the additional bathroom, barbeque area, and an outside sink

All guests booked for 5 days or more will get one complimentary homemade dinner, and afternoon coffee or tea with cake will be served three times a week.

Local restaurants offer daily fresh fish with excellent homemade wine.

Spending time in Villa Franka, you will not be a guest, rather you will be part of this family, enjoying their friendship, cuisine, afternoon chats, coffee, and special for you home baked cake.
